joy machine
- - -
the joy machine is a new dance-theatre project that has been hard to pin down. Initiated before, and then drastically changed by, the pandemic, the project has shifted and changed in the same ways we may have. After two years trying to find a way into “why is joy so important”, the creative team takes a new approach to the project, drawing from Ingrid Fetell Lee’s book ‘Joyful’. In the book, Lee breaks down joy into aesthetics that humans are drawn to, shaped by, and even creators of. The project is currently mid-process; more updates soon!
