Pattern Recognition

Artistic Producer Andrew is working on a project. It might be new or it might be an evolution of the same old stuff. It’s probably all of the above.

In an informal open “workshop”, Andrew will do some verbal (maybe even physical) processing of this new work. It’s his attempt at unearthing a concept.

The work, “Flight Patterns” has been on the backburner for the past three years. In May Andrew spent a month at an artist residency in Japan, thinking, moving, and dreaming beside the shimmering waters of one of Mt. Fuji’s lakes. It was dreamy. Research covered bioregionalism, birds of prey, emotional and geographical landscapes, and notions of pilgrimage, sacredness, community, and ecology.

This event is an opportunity for Andrew to open up the beginning of something, discover through the act of organization and embodying, and embrace living in the, “I have no idea what this is” before moving into creation.
